With its competitive gas mileage, a muscular engine, and plenty of space for the family, the 2016 GMC Yukon has been named to the US News & World Report list of 2016 Best Cars for Families in the Large SUV Category.
"A big family hauler needs to have the power to move a full load of people and gear," says their report, "and the Yukon’s 355-horsepower V8 engine delivers." But despite it's power and size, the Yukon is easy to drive. "Some large SUVs suffer from clumsy steering, cumbersome handling, or a rough ride, but not the Yukon. It drives like a smaller vehicle, navigating corners with poise and delivering a smooth and comfortable ride."
The interior of the Yukon is quite spacious, and your options between the different trims gives you options for seating up to 7, 8 or 9 people. "Eight people can fit in the base Yukon, which comes standard with two captain’s chairs in front and a bench seat in the second row. An optional front-row bench seat increases seating capacity to nine, while available second-row captain’s chairs reduce seating to seven."
Available driver-assistance technologies with the Yukon include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic braking, safety alert seat, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring, while a rearview camera is standard.
